Canvas software for panels, desktops and phones

The canvas that makes a panel worth switching on.

Chalktap is a collaborative infinite canvas, licensed to the companies that build and supply interactive displays. It ships on your hardware and opens in one tap, then keeps going on Windows, macOS, the browser and phones. The wall is where it is best, not where it stops.

01

Opens in one tap

Walk up, tap once, write. No launcher, no sign-in wall, no waiting while a room watches.

02

Runs without the network

The board is local first. Lose connectivity and writing continues; syncing catches up quietly.

03

No camera on the wall

Chalktap never films a room. It’s a deliberate product decision, and it makes approvals shorter.

Beat 01 · Write

Ink that behaves like ink.

Pen, highlighter and eraser put down the stroke you actually made: no smoothing, no shape-snapping, no beautification you didn’t ask for. Ink is drawn on the panel itself and never round-trips a server, so the board is as quick as the glass you put it on. Three inks on a chalk field, sized so the back row can read them.

  • Pressure where the hardware reports it
  • Eraser grows while you hold it
  • Zoom and pan without losing the line weight
Beat 02 · Precision

Instruments, not menus.

Ruler, set square, protractor and compass sit on the canvas as physical things: drag them, draw against them, flick them away. Shapes, connectors and text arrive placed and hand back to Select, so the next stroke is always ready.

  • Instruments stay on the display, never sync
  • One flyout at a time, never a menu tree
  • Pin the tool a session needs to the dock
Beat 03 · The assistant

It proposes. It never touches the board.

Circle anything on the canvas and ask about it. The answer arrives as a proposal anchored where you asked, clearly marked, easy to dismiss, and only part of the board once someone accepts it. Yes, it’s AI; it just never behaves like it owns your work.

  • Explain, solve step by step, label a sketch, make practice questions
  • Ask by circling, by selection, or in the side panel
  • A dismissed proposal leaves nothing behind: no ink, no history, no badge
PROPOSED

Three worked steps, written where you circled.

Beat 04 · Together

One board, every device in the room.

A code on the wall, a scan on a phone, and the room is drawing together, with nobody typing a password in front of an audience. Present mode hides the chrome, frames hold the running order, and replay plays a session back stroke by stroke.

  • Join by QR or code, no password on the wall
  • Presence you can count from the back of a room
  • Silent replay: strokes only, no camera, no audio unless narration is on

Phones and laptops draw on the same board, live.

The rest of what it does.

Full capability set

Replay

Play a session back stroke by stroke, silently. Scrub it, or run it at four times speed. No camera, no room audio unless someone deliberately turns narration on.

Sticky notes

Type straight onto the paper, no dialog.

Rooms

Remote participants beside the canvas.

Board library

Every board kept, searchable, duplicable.

Frames & present

Name regions of the board and step a room through them in order. Nothing is exported and nothing is converted: the board itself is the deck.

Dictation

Speak a prompt; nothing is stored.

Offline mode

Writing continues; sync catches up.

Five platforms

Panel, Windows, macOS, browser, companion. One board format.

One canvas, three kinds of room

Your customers don’t all teach.

The same build serves a Year 4 maths lesson, a Monday forecast review and a two-day training intensive. Copy, defaults and tools shift; the canvas law doesn’t.

Classrooms

Distance legibility, instruments for maths and science, lesson tools pinned where a teacher’s hand already is.

Meeting rooms

Connectors and frames for structure, remote participants beside the board, a replay instead of a photo of a whiteboard.

Training floors

Sticky-note workshops, join-by-code for delegates, every session kept and replayable for the next cohort.

For display makers and integrators

It ships on your panel, and follows the work off it.

Chalktap is licensed per display and installs as a native Android build on the panel, with desktop, browser and companion clients included, so the board your customer starts on the wall carries on at their desk. Your name on the hardware; one canvas across everything around it.

Licensed per display and priced around your volume. We do that on the call, not on a pricing page.
